Factors Affecting E-Learning and Its Financial Effect on Technology Based Companies During COVID-19 Pandemic – A Study on Bangladeshi IT Industry

Abstract
The main objective of this study is to find out how COVID-19 circumstances and other issues have changed the e-learning achievement, financial performance and its competitiveness. Nevertheless, this study also aims to find out the reasons behind the relation of the variables with e-learning to understand the result.
Method: This study has developed hypotheses based on (Mbarek & Zaddem, 2013) and got the methodology from the context of Bangladesh and the recent COVID-19 circumstances. This study has used two models, one for the users of the e-learning platforms and the other for the employees of the IT companies. This study has taken 591 respondents for the first model and 20 respondents for the second model. This study has used regression, correlation, descriptive, residuals for the analysis. This study has used close-ended questionnaire for this study and done pre-test before the main data collection.
Findings: This study has found out that COVID-19 has increased the use of e-learning platforms and the financial performance of the e-learning platforms and the IT industry of Bangladesh. The social connectivity of the users and the tutor can be a game changing factor in this industry. The computer efficacy of the users can increase the use of the platforms. Nevertheless, the platforms should think about the improvement of the courses to make sure the effectiveness of the courses for the users to have more satisfaction.
Implication: The result of this study can be used in the e-learning platform industry and the IT industry of Bangladesh to have a better scenario in the future. This study has found out how COVID-19 has an impact on this industry and this study has pointed out the places to improve to get more users’ satisfaction.
Value: This study is one of the very few studies on this industry, which have worked on the e-learning perspective depending on an emerging economy. This study has also found out the two main perspective of this concept based on employees and the users. Therefore, the result of this study has an impact on this industry clearly. Nevertheless, this study is one of the very few studies in this context of Bangladesh.
